Beginning with travel on April 15, 2021, SkyMiles Members can earn miles and earn toward Medallion Status on flights within the state of Alaska that are ticketed by Delta (the ticket number begins with ‘006’) and operated by a carrier without its own frequent flyer program.
Members will earn miles and earn toward Status just like they normally do on Delta-ticketed flights.
Be sure to add your SkyMiles Number to your reservation prior to travel so that your miles are credited automatically after you travel.
Offer Terms & Conditions
Mileage accrual for SkyMiles members traveling on/after 04/15/2021 on any intra-state Alaska flight operated only by a carrier that does not offer its own Frequent Flyer Program. Travel must be booked through delta.com or any Delta authorized sales channel. The qualifying electronic ticket for intra-Alaska eligible flight must be issued on Delta (006) ticket stock only. Customer should include their SkyMiles account number onto Delta’s reservation record locator during booking. If a SkyMiles account number was not added to the reservation prior to travel, customer may, within 9 months of completion of the flight, request a retroactive credit. If a SkyMiles Number is added to the reservation prior to travel, the miles will be credited automatically with no action needed from the SkyMiles Member.
Mileage will be credited only for travel flown by the SkyMiles Member on scheduled service flights. Mileage is credited to the SkyMiles account of the traveler, regardless of who pays for the ticket. Mileage from one account cannot be pooled or combined with the mileage of another individual’s account. Each Member must earn his/her own mileage credit. All SkyMiles program rules apply to SkyMiles program membership, miles, offers, mile accrual, mile redemption, and travel benefits. The rules are subject to change anytime without notice. To review the rules, please visit Membership Guide & Program Rules.
The following tickets are not eligible for mileage accrual on intra-Alaska flights with other airlines: Bulk, consolidator vacation or tour package fare products, Award Tickets or Pay with Miles tickets. Delta Air Lines is the final authority on the interpretation of these rules. All rights as they apply to the execution and administration of this promotion belong solely to Delta Air Lines. This campaign is administered independently by Delta Air Lines and not in partnership with any carrier flying domestic intra-Alaska routes.
The marketing carrier is determined by the two letter airline code in the flight number. For example, DL2368 is marketed by Delta and VS18 is marketed by Virgin Atlantic.
- Delta-ticketed flights feature ticket numbers that begin with “006”. Any flight purchased through delta.com is ticketed by Delta. Other airlines have their own unique ticket numbers. For example, Virgin Atlantic-ticket flights feature ticket numbers that begin with “932.”
- The operating carrier for a flight indicates which airline flies the plane. For example, a Virgin Atlantic-operated flight means the flight will be on Virgin Atlantic aircraft.
Travel to or from Cuba on flights operated by partner airlines is not eligible to earn miles.
