Million Miler™ Status

Million Miler Status is an impressive achievement and one of our most elite milestones, reserved for customers who have truly flown millions of miles with us.

As a Million Miler, enjoy annual complimentary Medallion Status, a higher priority position for Complimentary Upgrades and special bag tags. Beginning February 10, 2025, instead of automatically receiving your Million Miler bag tags, you will now get to select personalized tags to commemorate your Status. Please note that failure to opt-in and select a bag tag before the end of the Medallion Year will result in no bag tag being mailed to you. You’re also invited to select from a curated selection of gifts from the Million Miler Gift Site each time you hit a million miles. Details regarding your Million Miler bag tags and gift will be sent to the email in your SkyMiles account. Please ensure your contact information is up to date.

Million Miler Status is based on flight miles flown (excluding Basic Economy fares) over a Member’s lifetime. Members who have accumulated at least 1 million flight miles will be invited to our Million Miler program.
Members can view the total number of accumulated flight miles flown in their SkyMiles account. This number is located on the right-hand side of the My SkyMiles page and within the Fly Delta app.

Members will receive a celebratory welcome email within 24 hours of achieving a new Million Miler tier address listed on the Member’s SkyMiles account, and the email will also include the link to our Million Miler gift site. Complimentary annual status will be processed alongside this email.

Members will receive their Million Miler bag tags within four to six weeks of their milestone, mailed to the address on their SkyMiles profile.

The gift selection window will remain open for 90 days after each new Million Miler milestone. If you do not select your gift within the selection window, we will send a pre-selected gift to the mailing address on your SkyMiles account, as a token of our appreciation.

Million Miler Status is based on total flight miles flown over a Member’s lifetime (Lifetime Flight Miles). Million Miler Status will be earned via flight miles flown (excluding Basic Economy fares) and added to your total Million Miler balance.

Annual complimentary Medallion Status is valid from beginning to end of the Medallion Status year (currently February 1 to January 31), and benefits associated with complimentary Status are awarded annually. Members that have reached the 5 Million Miler milestone will receive an annual complimentary invitation for Delta 360° Membership. The benefits associated with Delta 360° Membership are awarded on an annual basis. Million Miler Medallion Status is for the earning Medallion Member and cannot be gifted or transferred to another Member. Complimentary Status is unrelated to MQDs earned in a given Medallion Year, and Members do not receive MQDs because of their complimentary Status. Members who receive complimentary Medallion Status in connection with Million Miler benefits, and who also simultaneously earn the same level of complimentary Status or higher through the published Status requirements, will not be upgraded to a higher Medallion Tier.

*Basic Economy tickets are not eligible to earn miles in the SkyMiles Program, earn credit toward Medallion Status, or earn credit toward Million Miler Status.

Gifts and bag tags will be mailed to the address in your SkyMiles account, and details regarding your Million Miler gift will be sent to the email listed in your SkyMiles account. Please ensure your contact information is up to date. Delta is not responsible for any gifts and/or bag tags mailed to an outdated address.
